Wynelle Kyzer Howard PELION - Wynelle Lillie Kyzer Howard accepted the peace of the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2017. She was born October 12, 1924, in the Leesville area, graduated from Fairview High School, the Columbia Business School and, later in her career, Midlands Technical College. In her lifetimes she was employed by Providence Hospital, the Knight Insurance Agency, Gibbes Machinery Company and the Internal Revenue Service, retiring from the latter in 1987. She was a steadfast member of Cayce United Methodist Church which she had attended since the return of her family to the area in 1956 and she was a dedicated supporter of Gold Star Wives. She was predeceased by her husband, Master Sgt. Isaac Howard (1959) and was the last of her generation of eight siblings and three brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Charleen) and Wayne; stepson, Ikie Howard; granddaughters, Brittain (Shawn) Pillsworth and Amber Howard; great-grandchildren, Chanceton Stephen Bedenbaugh, Rylen Arya Pillsworth and Lillian Elise Rice; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia on Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at Cayce United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Rev. Joseph James for his guidance, counsel and support and the support of the members of the church; the staff of Lexington Medical Center for honoring our wishes and providing for our every need. We would also like to thank countless friends and family members that have shared our grief in the sudden end of the one that anchored our lives through many years in so many ways.
