WOODROW KEYSER HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Woodrow Keyser, 88, of Bill's Branch of Henlawson, W.Va., went to rest Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at his home with family at his side. Born January 10, 1928, at Harts, W.Va., he was a son of the late Gerard Keyser and Martha Fry Keyser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Keyser Dingess; brothers, Clyde, Shirley, Wilson, Watson and Robert Keyser; one daughter-in-law, Sue Frye Keyser; five sons-in-law: Tom Thacker, Donald Dingess, Jerry Mays, Ralph Kolovich and Stephen Solanics, and three grandsons: Ronald Lee Thacker, Dan Keyser Jr., and Ralph Allen Kolovich Jr. Woodrow was a retired coal miner. He loved to travel and enjoyed camping with his wife Audrey. Woodrow was a member of the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church of Henlawson. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 71 years, Audrey Holstein Keyser; six daughters: Martha Thacker of Barboursville, Delores (Herman) Clay of Godby Heights, Barbara Solanics of St. Albans, Patsy (Roger) Bailey of Henlawson, Janet Kolovich Frye of Verdunville and Cheryl (Jess) Adams of Logan; two sons: Danny Keyser of Henlawson, and Kenneth "Woodie" Keyser of Stollings; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and two on the way; three great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Devita, Logan Regional Medical Center, Dignity Hospice and all the doctors who provided care for him during his illness. Especially thanks to his primary care physician, Dr. James Goetz. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 21, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Orville Syner officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Freeman Funeral Home at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
