Wilson "Ed" Walters ZANESVILLE: Wilson "Ed" Walters, 73 passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born September 3, 1943 in Newark, OH to the late Wilson E. and Margaret O'Connor Walters. He graduated from Newark High in 1962, receiving the High School All American Nomination. Ed served in the US Army from 1966 to 1972, receiving an Army Accommodation Medal for work organizing the return of the Big Red One to Fort Riley, KS in 1969. He retired as a Plant Superintendent at Holophane in Newark after 39 years of employment and was one of the few employees who worked at all four locations. Ed loved to play golf and loved his family. He is survived by his wife Patricia Mathews Walters; a son Jeremy Jason Walters of Newark; step children Douglas (Ellen) Milstead of Zanesville and Debra Milstead of Circleville; grandson Jeremy Keith Walters of Newark; six granddaugthters: Ashley Cedeno, Danielle (Nick) Davis, Ami (Daniel) Milstead, Nicole Milstead, Julie Milstead and Jennifer Milstead; four great grandchildren: Joseph, Matthew, Alana and Genevieve; a brother Timothy (Marsha) Walters and a sister Kimberly Kay (Ken) Crase. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother in law Charles Mathews. Calling hours will be held 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM, Thursday February 16, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. James Schumacher officiating.
