Wilmer T. "Bill" Krempges
Wilmer "Bill" T. Krempges Wilmer "Bill" T. Krempges passed away peacefully at home February 10, 2017. Bill was born in Canova, South Dakota in 1925 to John and Annie Krempges. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Bill began farming and raising chinchillas with his wife Cecilia. In 1970, the Krempges began a successful career in the motel business, which led them to Southwest Missouri, where they enjoyed living out their retirement years. Bill's extraordinary kindness was immediately apparent to everyone he met. He touched many lives in his 91 years and will be remembered fondly by all. He always had a good story to tell and made everyone laugh. His faith in God and love for family were foremost in his life. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Cecilia, son Jerry, brothers Alfred and Ed, and sister Rosie. He is survived by six children: Jim; Jo Ann Benson (Bing), Steve (Tawnya), Stan (Sonja), Mary Burlison (John Freitag), Sheila McGowne (Bret), and daughter-in-law Carol Rote, as well as 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church Friday, Feb. 17 at 10:00 a.m. Military rites will be presented following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
