August 13, 1928 - October 14, 2016 Our beloved mother Wilma A. Cavin, born in San Antonio on August 13, 1928 to August Kempf, Jr. and Marie Schwager Kempf, departed this life on October 14, 2016. She was married to the late Elmo M. Cavin, Sr. for 46 years and was also predeceased by her second husband, Joseph Loren Cavin, to whom she was married for eight years. After raising three children, she worked in the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector's office as Assistant Manager in the Assessing Department and earned a Certified Tax Administrator certification. After retiring, she worked for 17 years as a volunteer for the Bluebirds Auxiliary at Methodist Hospital. She is survived by son Elmo M. Cavin, Jr. (Cathy), daughter Linda Hopper (Tyler), son Joseph Michael Cavin (Rebecca Cate); granddaughter Nicole Hopper; stepchildren Jimmy Cavin (Mickey), Jonelle Wright, Janet Heartwell (Jim), Connie Schaller (Richard), and Cindy Crist (Terry). Services The family will receive friends for Visitation at Mission Park Stone Oak on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Rd, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
