BLAKE WILMA (KELLERMAN) Age 84, formerly of Tarentum, Natrona Heights, Warren, Cheswick and Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, died peacefully in her sleep on January 8, 2017 at St. John's Specialty Care home in Mars, Pennsylvania after several months of illness. Born February 27, 1932, in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Elsie (Long) Kellerman. Wilma was a graduate of the Pinkerton School for Secretaries, located in Pittsburgh. Following graduation, she worked at ALCOA Research Laboratories as a stenographer from June 1956 to January, 1961. After her marriage to Paul E Blake, Sr., on June 2, 1956, she was a homemaker until she returned to the workforce in 1975 as an Executive Secretary for the Diocese of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. She and her two sons moved to Slippery Rock where she continued to work for the Diocese of Pittsburgh as an Office Manager at the Newman Center from July 1980 until July 2009, when she retired from Diocese with nearly 35 years of service. In her spare time, Wilma was an avid sewer, lap quitter and all-around craft lover. She was also an active member of St. Peter Catholic Parish in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, prior to her hospitalization in 2014. Wilma was preceded in death by her late sister, Margaret, P. Kellerman, formerly of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She is survived by two sons, Paul E. (Patricia M.) Blake of Leesburg, VA, and Shawn M. (Mary F.) Blake of Cranberry Twp.; a grandson, Patrick E. Blake (17); and a granddaughter, Nicole M. Blake (20). BLAKE – Friends of Wilma K. Blake, who died Sunday, January 8, 2017, will be received from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. 724-772-8800. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, Cranberry Twp., with the Rev. Charles Bober and Rev. Joseph Kleppner, PHD presiding.
