WILLIS ALLEN REEVES
Willis Allen Reeves of McAlester, Oklahoma and former resident of Bokchito passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Willis was born on February 3, 1935 in Elsmore, Kansas to William and Edith (Hays) Reeves. After graduating from high school, Willis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged from active duty on September 19, 1956. Willis married Martha Sue Wigley on August 5, 1966 in Arlington, Texas and they were blessed with 50 plus years together. Willis retired from TXU Electric after 32 years of faithful service. He was of the Baptist faith and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, reading, politics and watching FOX News. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Russell Reeves and sisters, Peggy Breeding and Ruthie Zimmerman. Willis is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Sue Reeves of the home; beloved children, Roger Reeves and Melanie Rogers and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Roger Allen Reeves, Richard Hunter Reeves and Logan Willis Reeves; great grandchild, Logan James Reeves; special nephew, David Armstrong and constant companion and favorite dog, "Buddy". A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Old Bennington Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Rogers will officiate.
