Willie Mae Bowman Porter
Willie Mae Bowman Porter, age 82, was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 12:10 PM. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans until 2005 when she relocated to Fort Worth TX due to Katrina. She had been a member of Holy Ghost and Corpus Christi Catholic Churches and was a member of The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary of the Sacred Heart Court #60 and also the Eastern Stars. She worked various jobs in the medical field until retirement. She was preceded in death by both parents, Willie and Annie Lee Bowman; brother, Mathews Mc Cranley; sons ,Willie Charles and Zziron Porter; daughter, Dawn C Porter. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, brother, Dwight Bowman and sister Cassandra Jacobs; children, Vernita, John, Gregory, Nyila and Yolanda Porter. Also survived by a host of grand and geat-grand children, nieces, nephews and friends.Relatives and Friends; Priest and Parishioners of Corpus Christi/Epiphany Catholic Church are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi/Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue on Friday February 17, 2017 at 10 AM, Father David Begany, S.S.J., Officiating.
