Willie Roy Anderson, 75, passed away Oct. 11, 2016, at residence. He was a graduate of Howard High School and an U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a barber at Green Light Barber Shop and a member of Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Helen Anderson; brother, Samuel Anderson, Jr.; sister, Rosetta Anderson Clay. Survivors include his daughter, Neidre Anderson, of Chattanooga; sister, Jackie (Earl) Drake, of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Brandon Anderson and Brianne Southers, of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren; niece, Tanga Richie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church. Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
