William E. Waterman
PAWTUCKET - William E. Waterman, 63, long time resident of Pawtucket, RI., Vietnam War Veteran, has died from lung cancer as a result of exposure to agent orange and nicotine. Bill's life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Teresa of The Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, R.I. 02861 followed by a Full Military Burial Service at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822 Bill is survived by his wife, Kathleen Thorpe Waterman, sister Beatrice L. Stagner, and brother-in-law Joseph Stagner. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Eleanore C. Heaphy and father, William E. Waterman. Bill had many interests, including driving his Jeep and motorcycles, target shooting and telling amazing stories . A member of the NRA, ASPCA and Angle Tree Stone Rod and Gun Club, Bill also enjoyed conversation, coffee, motorcycles, guns, cars, crunching numbers, cats and squirrels. He was an inspiriting public speaker and he shared a great message. Bill was a good, kind and loving person and he will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. Their mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. WWP is the hand extended to encourage warriors as they adjust to their new normal and achieve new triumphs.
