In memory of
William "Willy" Smail Jr., 69, of Bethel Township, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born Nov. 2, 1946, in Cadogan, the son of William Smail Sr. and Margaret Colish Smail. He married Pam Helsel Smail on Aug. 6, 1964. He retired from Equitable Gas Co. as a station engineer. He played pool, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was former president of Kelly Station Sportsman's Club, and also former president of the Conservation League. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Pam; daughters, Connie Giardino, of Kittanning, Cynthia Boltz, of Ford City, and Cathy and Kelly Booher, of Bethel Township; a son, Joe Smail, of Bethel Towhship; sisters, Peggy Battistelli, Darla Hoffman, and Tammy Lorent; a brother, Michael Smail, of Bethel Township; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Smail; and a sister, Joyce Taylor. As per his wishes, there will be no viewing. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Mantini Funeral Home Inc., Ford City.
