William C. Schrader
William C. Schrader passed away on Jan. 2, 2017 at home in Smiths, Ala. Bill was born on Dec. 14, 1946 in Sayre, Pa., to Max and Betty Muffley Schrader, and grew up in Monroeton, Pa. He was a graduate of Towanda High School, class of 1965. He was a former Sayre Evening Times carrier, employed at Shaffer's Feed Mill in Monroeton and also at Masonite. He had recently retired from Phenix Saw Works in Phenix City, Ala., after 35 years. He was a member of the Monroe Hose Company for several years, and he was a Vietnam veteran. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey and his wife Mandi and their two sons Kip and Kohl from Smiths, Ala.; daughter, Jennifer Dudley and her three children, Laura, Nikolas and Dylan; mother, Betty Muffley Schrader Worthington; brother, Richard Schrader of Monroeton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Max Schrader, and brother, George Schrader. A memorial service was held on Jan. 12, 2017 in Phenix City, Ala., and interment was on Jan. 13, 2017 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. There will be a memorial held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 21, 2017 at the Monroeton United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Monroeton United Methodist Church.
