In memory of
William Franklin "Bill" Saefkow
Saefkow William "Bill" Franklin Saefkow, 67, of Hilliard, passed away at home on October 13, 2016. He is survived by Mary Jo Kester Saefkow, his wife of 40 years; his children, Andrew Saefkow, Peggy and Josh Wells and Henry Saefkow; his sister, Susan Brown; and his beloved grandson, Cory Wells. Other surviving family members include his Billington and Telepak in-laws, their children and a grandniece. Bill worked in manufacturing and sales for the EPS industry for most of his adult life. He volunteered with the Tri-Village Lions Club and was always ready to help promote his kids' school and community activities. His ALS diagnosis made it necessary for him to give up many of his great joystraveling, playing tennis and attending Blue Jackets gamesbut he rarely let the disease diminish his sense of humor or his compassion for others. Over the past few months, Bill received numerous cards, calls, emails, meals and visits from family and friends near and far. These were precious to him and meant more than he was sometimes able to express. On his behalf, thank you all so very much. Cremation services were arranged through SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL. Bill did not want a traditional funeral service. According to his wishes, a celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date. Those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Hattie Larlham Foundation, 7996 Darrow Road, Suite 10, Twinsburg, Oh 44087, or the ALS Association of Central Ohio, 1170 Old Henderson Rd., Suite 221, Columbus, OH 43220.
