William Henry Millsaps A Celebration of Life for William Henry Millsaps will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Brethrens Jerry Johnson, Scott Henry, Elden Mayo, and Mark Strickland officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Fort Polk Honor Guard. Intermet will follow in the Creel Memorial Gardens in Reeves under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Henry, 69, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born October 25, 1947 in Oakdale to the union of Walter Hollon "Bates" Millsaps, Jr. and Gertrude Bishop Millsaps. He served honorably in the LA Army National Guard, United States Air Force, and Texas Air National Guard. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Oakdale, and also served several years as a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hollon Millsaps and Gertrude Bishop Millsaps; his father-in-law, William Donald Pender; and great granddaughter, Lanee Dickens. Those left behind to cherish his memory include: his wife, Wanda Pender Millsaps; two sons, William Henry (Brooksie) Millsaps, Jr. and James Allen Soileau; four daughters, Amy Bonal, Carrie Millsaps and fiancé Mike Ellefson, Erin (Erik) Noblitt, and Donna (Don) Dickens; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Eula Lemoine; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 8 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. in the chapel.
