William Leslie Hunt RED SPRINGS — Mr. William Leslie Hunt, 74, of 13906 N.C.72 West, Red Springs, North Carolina was born on May 25, 1942, in Robeson County, North Carolina to his parents the late Rev. Cleveland S. Hunt and the late Mrs. Mary Lee Locklear Hunt. He departed this earthly life to eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan 11, 2017, at his home. William was preceded in death by his brother, Ervin Hunt. A homegoing for Mr. William Leslie Hunt will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Red Springs, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, the Revs. Donald Bullard, Marshall Strickland and Bobby Schmidt officiating. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Albertine Bullard Hunt, of the home; two sons, William Leslie Hunt Jr., of Red Springs, North Carolina, and Harlan Hunt and wife Bonnie, of Red Springs, North Carolina; two daughters, Ardene H. Willoughby and husband Matthew of Red Springs, North Carolina, and Selena H. Locklear and husband Dwayne of Red Springs, North Carolina; three brothers, Cleveland H. (Pap) Hunt, of Pembroke, North Carolina, Willie French Hunt of Red Springs, North Carolina, and Cardale Hunt, of Whiteville, North Carolina; seven sisters, Cletis Hunt, Helen Locklear, Maria Locklear, Brenda H. Locklear Glenda Lowery and Betty Jane Hunt, all of Pembroke, North Carolina, and Linda Locklear, of Red Springs, North Carolina; Earl Locklear, of Pembroke, North Carolina, who was raised by his parents as a brother; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home, Red Springs, North Carolina.
