In memory of
William Holden de Gorter
Holden, age 4, passed away peacefully in his mother's arms in his home on January 10, 2017. He died of complications related to a life-long diagnosis of pontocerebellar hypoplasia. Holden was born on February 12, 2012 in Charlotte, and is the son of Danielle Heather de Gorter and Amanda Williams. Holden was an amazing boy that defied the odds, and brought happiness to all those around him. His smile lit up a room and it was impossible to not share in his joyful spirit. He touched so many lives, and was able to teach us all about life, love, and all the small things. He was a student at Marvin Elementary pre-K and most enjoyed school, music, singing, and cartoons. Holden will be forever in our hearts and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jackson John de Gorter. He is survived by his parents, Danielle de Gorter and Amanda Williams; his brother, Preston James de Gorter; grandmother, Catherine de Gorter; grandparents, Peter and Jeanne de Gorter; great-grandmother, Denise de Gorter; great-grandparents, John and Patricia Cox; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. A private gathering will be held at a later date in celebration of Holden's life. Memorial contributions may be made to KinderMourn of Charlotte.
