William F Drummond
William F Drummond 1945-2016 William F Drummond (Bill) of Kamas UT passed away on Thursday, October 13 after a motorcycle accident at the age of 71. Bill is predeceased by his parents George Drummond and Margaret Waddell Drummond. He is survived by his wife Susan Hogeland Drummond and his sons Joel Drummond of Austin TX and Craig Drummond of Seattle WA, his step-children Kelly Alderson-Avni (Ben) of Seattle WA and Jeb Alderson (Melissa), his brother Robert Drummond (Betty Jean), and many nieces and nephews. Bill lived a full and adventurous life, and his priority was always his beloved family. In addition to UT he recently lived in Seattle WA and Thousand Oaks CA. Bill was born in Fort Monmouth NJ. He was a graduate of Salem High School, was in the last graduating class of the Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing for Men, and earned a Master's degree in Nursing and his nurse practitioner degree at the University of Texas. Bill proudly served in the US Army for 22 years including a tour in Vietnam. After retiring from the military he pursued a successful career in Information Technology working for numerous companies including SAIC, Phamis IDX, Virginia Mason, and St Joseph's Hospital. He was never unemployed and from the time he was 12 he worked a variety of jobs in farming, trucking, food service, as well as serving as a volunteer fire fighter. Upon retirement he worked as a ski instructor and a scuba diving instructor. Bill was not one to sit still, and he enjoyed home projects and helping friends and family. He enjoyed traveling the world and scuba diving and skiing with Sue and his children. For the past several years Bill worked as a full time ski instructor at Deer Valley in Park City UT. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held on Thursday, October 20th at 3 PM at Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley resort.
