William M. Bowlin
Bowlin, William M. Longtime resident of Wichita and native of Winfield, William ("Wil") M. Bowlin, 54, died of brain cancer on December 29, 2016 in Ashville, AL. Wil spent his winters in Ashville with his partner, Rick Ewing, in a house built by his grandparents that they had extensively rehabilitated over the past decade. Wil was known for his knowledge as a collector of pottery and antique furniture as well as his creative landscaping and productive vegetable gardening at his Wichita home. Wil is survived by Rick Ewing, his partner of 27 years; brothers James (Kimberly) of Garber, OK and Steve of Winfield; adopted sister DeAnn (Will) Titus of Newton; nieces Blair Bowlin, Jennifer Stowers, and Stephanie Bowlin; nephews Jeremy Bowlin, Cody Bowlin, and Johnathan Bowlin; several cousins and his loving Yorkies, Sally and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy M and Ruth Ann Bowlin; a brother Michael Bowlin; and grandparents Milton and Balma Bowlin, Guy and Kathryn Martin, and Louis Ralph and Hazel Reid. A memorial service will held at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield at 11 am Saturday January 21th, followed by a reception.
