Willette E. Parker
Federal Way, WA - Willette E. Parker, 94, formerly of Indian Lake, TX, passed away on September 12, 2016, at her daughter's residence in Federal Way, Washington. Willette was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur and Nancy Valleroy. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip L. Parker, and her brothers, Fred Valleroy, and James Valleroy. She is survived by her children, Philip L. Parker, Jr. (Sheryl) of Houston, TX, Katheryn Henry of Federal Way, WA, and Nanette Kalter (Bruce), of Edinburg, TX, three grandchildren, Christina Wigton (Eric), Russell Henry (Kim), Karen Kalter, great-granddaughters, Emily Wigton, Gabby Rogers, Kiley Rogers, and her nieces and nephews. Willette was a resident of Indian Lake for 30 years, where she served for a short time on the City Council. Her hobbies included gardening and genealogy, but her greatest interest was music. Willette and her brother, Jim, were part of a musical group who sang and played gospel music for many years at a local truck stop and at Retama Nursing Home in Harlingen,. She also treasured the weekly jam sessions with Jim and their friends at Palmdale RV Resort in Los Fresnos. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Salem, Missouri.
