Wendell Eugene Campbell
Wendell Eugene Campbell, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sibert E. Campbell and wife of 47 years, Mitzie (Brown) Campbell, who died in 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Kala Campbell, grandson, Mark Menninger and several close friends. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas. He was involved in the car business most of his life and loved restoring Corvettes, Camaros, and other muscle cars. He was the used car buyer at Royal Oldsmobile in Birmingham for many years before his retirement. We would like to thank a special friend, Gary Menninger, Riverview Regional Medical Center, and Coosa Valley Nursing Home for their care during his time of sickness. There will be a memorial service for him on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Rainbow City First Baptist Church at 200 E Grand Ave. Online Condolences may be made to the family at www.collier-butler.com.
