Wayne Presley Milford Wayne Presley, 83, surrounded by family and friends went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 4:53 p.m. Wayne, of Brighton, Missouri, was born June 14, 1933, near Willard Missouri to Clay Presley and Louise Doke Presley. Wayne attended school in Morrisville and graduated in 1951 from Marion C. Early High School. Wayne was saved at an early age in Oklahoma and was a member of Noble Hill Baptist church for many years and was currently a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church of Bolivar. Wayne married Ruth Denney in 1952 and had two sons, Dan and Stan, and a daughter, Teresa by this union. In 1982 Wayne married Connie McGinnis, his surviving spouse and business partner. Wayne was a seasoned truck driver, hauling milk on his own can route and later for Foremost and Hiland Dairies and Producers Creamery. He also owned and operated several dairy farms in Polk and Greene counties through the years and still enjoyed raising and trading Holstein cattle. Wayne was an accomplished and diversified businessman, with ventures into restaurants, furniture business and trucking, owning the C&W trucking company. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Louise; father and mother-in-law Austin and Winifred McGinnis; grandson Jonathan Wayne Presley; granddaughters Sarah Presley Patton and Emily Wells; and two brothers in-law: Sammy Scott, and Lowell Owens. He was survived by and will be deeply missed by his loving wife Connie; sisters: Evelyn Scott of Willard and Phyllis Owens of Mountain Grove; son Dan Presley and his wife Teri of Bolivar, son Stan Presley and his wife Kaye of Costa Rica, daughter Teresa Presley Cutler and husband Don of Willard, step-son Jeff Wells and his wife Katrina of Bolivar, step-son Kevin Wells of Bolivar; brother in-law John McGinnis and wife Linda of Nevada; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; also their special friends Charles and Carol and Jim and Ila Jo. Wayne was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Wayne's family wishes to express their thanks to all the friends and family for their visits, calls and prayers while he was in the hospital. We love all of you. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Pitts Chapel with Bro.'s Kip Baker, Efton Piper, and Gayland Lightfood officiating. Musical selections will be sung by Lisa Jarvis, Barbara and Dusty McMurren, and Teresa Lindsey. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Bolivar, MO. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Brandon and Caleb Presley, Russell and Steve Cutler, and Rob and Zeke Partin. Honorary pallbearers Kenny Holt, Charles Shelledy, Jim Mullings, Virgil Hines, Dick Fortner, Eric Jack, Nick Flanningan, Kent Teal, Mike Henderson, Mick Hood, Tom Beason and Homer Tankesley. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com .
