Warren N. Pickering
Warren N. Pickering Orem, UT 1931 ~ 2016 Warren Neil Pickering, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on October 2, 2016 to reunite with his sweet wife. He was born June 15, 1931 in Lawrence, Kansas to Carl and Helen Lanier Pickering. He married Marilyn Trowbridge on October 11, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles, California temple. They were blessed with three daughters, Laurie, Lisa and Linda. As a young man, Warren enjoyed serving in the U.S. Navy. He then worked in the Aerospace Industry with the highlight of his career being a project manager and working on many classified projects for the military. He served a mission with his wife in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission from 2002-2004. "He has lived in many places including Lakewood, CA, Provo, UT, Los Alamitos, CA, Pleasant Grove, UT, St. George, UT, and the last year at Treeo in Orem, UT." Warren loved to travel and enjoyed visiting many places around the world. He liked to golf, work in his yard, do family history, play bridge and make chocolate malts. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed watching FOX News and BYU football. He served in many church callings and enjoyed serving in the community. He had many friends and family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by three daughters Laurie (Bryan) Chase, Lisa (Steven) Bezzant, and Linda Pickering, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Marilyn, his parents, and brother Larry Pickering. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem 1st Ward, 80 South 280 East Orem, UT. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 10:00 am-10:45 am prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.
