Warren John McFall Engineer with AT&T/Lucent, church trustee and Scotch Plains Board of Ed member Warren John McFall, 78, passed away on Oct. 11, 2016. Visitation will be at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield, N.J. www.higginsandbonner.com on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the funeral home. Mr. McFall was an electrical engineer with Western Electric in Newark, N.J.; Ernst & Ernst and B.M.I., both in New York City, and he retired from AT&T/ Lucent in Murray Hill in 2010. He received a bachelor's degree from Lehigh University. He was on the board of trustees of Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church in Union for 25 years. Mr. McFall was very active in Scotch Plains Fanwood girls' soccer and most recently was a member of the Scotch Plains Board of Education for 13 years. He was an avid sailor and skier. Born in Summit, N.J., Mr. McFall lived in Union, N.J., and Fanwood, N.J., before moving to Scotch Plains 39 years ago. Mr. McFall was predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Edna McFall. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Schantz); his children, Susan and Michael, Terry and John and David and Yumiko; his four grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay Emily and Jillian, and his brother, Donald.
