November 10, 1936 - April 11, 2017 YUKON Warren Cecil Fisher, 80, of Yukon, passed peacefully on Apr. 11, 2017. He was born in Steubenville, OH on Nov. 10, 1936 to parents John Martin and Bessie Mae Fisher. He was a proud Marine ranking as an E3 Corporal. He spent his lifetime making sure his family was well taken care of, retiring from Lucent with over 40 years of service. "Sports was in the Fisher's blood." He was an avid supporter of Yukon Sports and coached many years for the Yukon Jays Wrestling Program. He was President of the Local Union 2021 and was a dear friend to all. He and his wife Avis were faithful members of the South Yukon Church of Christ for over 50 years. Warren was preceded in death by loving brothers, Jack, Harold and Ralph Fisher; loving sister, Rose McAfee; loving wife, Avis; and son, Barry Fisher. He is survived by daughter, Kelly Fisher and granddaughters, Skye Ercanbrack and Kayleigh Fisher, all of Yukon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors or Warriors for Freedom. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tues., Apr. 18, 2017, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, officiated by his nephew, Dr. Kevin McAfee.
