Warren H. Fisher
Warren Harding Fisher, age 94, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Brookdale Grandon Farms. Born March 17, 1922 in Schuylkill Haven, he was the son of the late Andrew and Vallie Dora (Seifert) Fisher. Warren was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Following his service, he worked for a time on the railroad before moving on to L.B. Smith Ford where he worked as an auto mechanic. He later worked as an insurance adjuster for Erie Insurance until his retirement. Warren was a member of First Church of God in Mechanicsburg, the Bowmansdale Odd Fellows Lodge #1179, and enjoyed woodworking in his free time. He was the widower of Dorothy I. (Cline) Fisher. Surviving are his children, Thomas A. Fisher and wife Brenda of Westminster, MD, Larry A. Fisher and wife Shirley of Mechanicsburg, David M. Fisher and wife Constance of Mechanicsburg, and Wendy Redinger and husband Randy of Williamsport; eleven grandchildren, Meredith Fisher and spouse Sharon Cload, Rachel Kearns and her husband Steve, Jennifer Markowitz, McKenzie, Mikaela, LaDraya, Tyler, John and Anthony Redinger, Angella Holley and her husband Alan, Erin Paz and her husband Tony; as well as six great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ava Grace, Brooke, Benicio, Dominic, and Charley Simone. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 21 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 28 E. Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
