Wanda Marie Chicola Ozier A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Wanda Marie Chicola Ozier at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and will resume on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wanda Marie Chicola Ozier, 65, of Alexandria, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Byron Ozier; and her parents, Sidney and Christine Lea Chicola. Wanda worked with and was instrumental in starting several non-profit organizations in the Central Louisiana area. Hope House was very close to her heart. She was truly passionate about making a change in her community. She was known throughout Central Louisiana for her grant writing and speaking skills. Wanda left a legacy of service and selflessness. Wanda was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and was an active participant in the ACTS Retreats. Wanda was devoted to her family and raised two of her grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan Ozier Williams, and Tonya Blair Denmon ; her son, David Wayne Ozier ; four grandchildren, Christine Ozier, Piper Ozier, Brian Green, and Katelyn Green; and her siblings, Judy Chicola Grozier of Houston, TX, and Sidney Michael Chicola (Vicki).
