Walter Joseph (Wally) Moss
Walter (Wally) Joseph Moss Wally was born November 12, 1930 in Salt Lake City, only child to Walter Joseph Moss Sr. and Esther Margaret Johnson. He passed away peacefully in his home January 15, 2017. Wally grew up in Ballard and attended Ballard High School where he met lifelong friends. After high school he joined the Navy and served on the destroyer USS Owen on which he traveled the world and served in the Korean War. Upon discharge he and his father founded Moss Truck Sales. Wally married Donna Lee Guyor in 1956 and they settled in Edmonds and raised their 3 children. Wally loved family outings to the mountains and fishing trips. He was an avid boater and loved the water. Wally is remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as his love for animals and he always had his beloved dog on his lap. Wally is preceded in death by his wife Donna. He is survived by his three children, Walter Moss, Lynn Hawes and Kari (Michael) Graves, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service honoring Wally at the Tahoma National Cemetery April 24th, at 11:30 a.m.
