Wallace Edward Sibley Memphis, TN Wallace Edward Sibley, 82, of Memphis, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by, parents, Clell and Doris Sibley, son-in-law, Jim Townsend, and siblings, Bobbie Tyler and Jerry Sibley. Mr. Sibley is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rebecca "Becky" Sibley, children, Paulanne Townsend and Cristy Tiedemann and her husband Bob, grandchildren, David Townsend and his wife Manda, Ben Townsend and wife Monica, Ana Callan and Carlie Rose Keough, and great-grandchildren, Ansley Townsend, Finn Townsend, Wyatt Townsend and Alejandro Townsend, siblings, Joann Shelton, Ted Sibley and wife Margie, Jack Sibley and wife Stephanie, and Tommy Sibley and wife Marlene and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sibley was a member at First Assembly of God and served on the finance committee. He also served on the board of Teen Challenge for many years. He was a founder of two businesses and owner of Sibley A/C and Heating Services. He loved hunting, fishing and was most recently known for his vegetable garden. The family cordially invites friends and relatives to services on Wednesday, January 11 from nine o'clock in the morning until the time of the service at eleven o'clock at First Assembly of God Church, 8650 Walnut Grove Road in Cordova. The burial will follow in Crump Cemetery in Crump TN at two thirty in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MAPS (Mobilization And Placement Services) missions program at the church, First Assembly of God Christian School or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research).
