In memory of
Vivian LaBonte Vivian was born in Portland Oregon on 8/21/1922, the daughter of Walter and Wyatt Nourse. She attended Oregon State University and met Robert (Bob) LaBonte on a blind date; they were married for 66 years. They hiked and fished all over Oregon and Washington. She enjoyed playing golf and was the only one in the family to hit a hole in one, a fact that she wasn't shy about sharing. She loved hosting dinners and parties-always making those who entered our doors feel welcome. Vivian loved playing bridge with her friends. There wasn't a dog she couldn't spoil within hours; she loved them, and they loved her. For the past 25 years, Bob and Viv lived in Port Townsend where they loved walking on the beach. Viv was an avid gardener, who transformed the yards of the homes (Eugene, Port Townsend, Bellevue, Lake Oswego, Kansas City, Lubbock, Bremerton) into a colorful treat for all to enjoy. Vivian passed away peacefully on September 15, 2016. She is survived by Jim LaBonte and Diana Kearns, Jeff and Sallee LaBonte; grandchildren Analise Arrabito, Elena LaBonte, Andre LaBonte, and Nanette Lawley. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at Evergreen Hospice for their dedication and support. Per Vivian's wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Hospice in lieu of flowers.
