D'Angelo, Vita "Vera" Age 85, a life-long resident of Genesee Township, MI, passed into God's hands on April 19, 2017. Vera was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Road, Flint MI at 11 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017. Burial following at New Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 and 10-11 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the church. Vera was born August 7, 1931 to Phillip and Nellie (Barbera) Peraino. She had two sisters and four brothers. After graduating from Northern High School in 1950, Vera worked at AC Spark Plug until starting her family and later worked at St. Joseph Hospital. Vera married Romano D'Angelo on April 25, 1953 and had four children. Vera devoted her life to her family, always there to lend support and a listening ear. She loved to spend time cooking and baking. She leaves wonderful memories of treasured times around the table with family, lots of laughter, and great food. She had a quiet, simple demeanor that endeared her to many. Vera lived a full life, complete with love, laughter and joy. Vera was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Davison Knights of Columbus Daughters of Isabella, Italian American Ladies Association and Davison Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Vera leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 64 years, Romano, children; Stephen (Robin) D'Angelo of Swartz Creek, Tina (David) Holland of Hudsonville, Joseph (Susan) D'Angelo of Flint, and Diane (Michael) Boling of Burton. Grandchildren; Angela (Chad) Mott, Erich Farner, Nicole (Jason) Cummings, Tony, Joseph, Mark and Kelly D'Angelo. Great grandchildren; Owen and Alexa Mott, and Sophia D'Angelo. Sister and best friend, Jo Soresi of California, brother Andy (Vivian) Peraino of Davison. Sisters-in-law; Nelia D'Angelo-Mosca, Dorothy Peraino, Janice Peraino, Annette Hickerson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by sister; Sara Parks, brothers; Phillip Jr, Jerry and William Peraino, brothers-in-law; Carl Parks and Joe Soresi, and nephew; Joseph Soresi.
