Virginia Lorraine Flohr Mar. 30, 1929 - Jan. 5, 2017 Danville, California Lorraine Flohr passed away peacefully Jan. 5th, 2017. She was the daughter of Clyde Porter of San Fernando Valley, California, and Grace Virginia Porter of Los Angeles, California. She was preceded by her husband of 62 years, Richard Austin Flohr and is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Lorraine Banis of Louisville, Kentucky and her son, Thomas Michael Flohr of Bronxville, New York plus four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Lorraine enjoyed her family very much getting together with them in the mountains for skiing and the fun and warmth of the beaches. She especially enjoyed working for the Assistance League of Diablo Valley. Her other passions in life included her beagles, needlepoint work and gardening. She was truly our rose. A memorial will be held at the Chapter House of the Assistance League of Diablo Valley, 2711 Buena Vista Avenue, Walnut Creek on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1 pm to celebrate her life.
