Victor P. Finos
FINOS, Victor P. of Wakefield, entered into rest on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 94 years old. Born in Prodolone, San Vito, Italy, Victor resided in Everett for many years. He graduated from Everett High School where he played various varsity sports. Victor had the good fortune of being sponsored into the United States Naval Academy and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1942, during World War II, Victor entered the United States Navy and was Honorably discharged in 1947. Victor was recalled by the Navy in 1952, during the Korean Conflict, and was Honorably discharged in 1954. As a Mechanical Engineer, Victor was employed by the General Electric Company from 1948 until 1985. Son of the late Raffaele and Assunta (Deganuto) Finos. Beloved husband of Lucy A. (Mazzone) Finos for over 68 years. Dear and devoted father of Ralph P. Finos and his wife, Janice Antonellis of Holliston, Elizabeth A. Finos of Arlington, VA, Michael R. Finos of Wakefield and Trinity Pease and her husband, William of Sarasota, FL. Brother of the late Bianca Pesella. Loving Grandpa of Marisa Finos, Elisa Finos, Ashley Ryan, Matthew Finos and Christopher Finos and loving Papa of Parker Nassal and Ardenn Ryan. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., WAKEFIELD Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
