Victor Howard Butinski, 72, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, after a brief struggle with pneumonia. Burial: 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family of Victor Butinski wish to thank the staff at Magnolia Hospice for their compassion and Harris Fort Worth Hospital for their care during his final days. Victor was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 5, 1944. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force for twenty years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His career included working with missiles and was also a drill instructor. He retired as a Master Sergeant. During his Air Force career, he married and had one daughter, Laura Lea. After military retirement, Victor pursued studies at Youngstown State University before moving to Fort Worth, Texas to begin a new career with General Dynamics. He held numerous positions until his retirement in 1994. After retirement, he enjoyed tinkering with cars, Sunday afternoon football games, and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was liked by all. He will be missed by everyone. Survivors: Victor is survived by his daughter, Laura McCrary and son-in-law Bobby McCrary of Fort Worth; His sister, Marian Kutlesa of Youngstown, Ohio; His brother, Jimmy Butinski and wife Anna of Chicago, Ill.; Grandchildren, Ava McCrary and Eric Thompson; and several nephews and nieces.
