Verna J. Klingaman
Verna J. Klingaman, 95, of S. Whitehall Twp., passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at home. She was the wife of John D. Klingaman, to whom she was married over 70 years. Born in Meyersdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Margaret C. (Lindeman) James. She was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Allentown. After graduating from Lehigh University with her Masters Degree, she worked as a guidance counselor in the Parkland School District. She surrounded herself with an abundant of friends and considered her students as her children. She retired in 1978 and then became a member of the Pa Assoc. of School Retirees. Verna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mary Livingston Chapter. As an avid dog lover, she enjoyed breeding and showing dogs and had received many ribbons. Survivors: husband and devoted and loving friends whom she considered her family. Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, Oct. 20 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown.
