VERA ILENE RINGLER Vera Ilene Ringler, age 85, of Fort Mohave, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in Bakersfield, Calif. while visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Hardesty. She had been battling Dementia /Alzheimer's for several years while being cared for by her family in Calif. Vera was born July 16, 1931 in Arapahoe, Neb. She moved with her parents to Chico, Calif., where she grew up and later married Donald Eugene Ringler on August 27, 1947. She and Don moved to Santa Ana, Calif. in the early 1950's, living there and raising their four children until they retired in 1989 and moved to Fort Mohave, Ariz. Vera loved dancing, Bunco, hobby crafts, video poker and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald Eugene Ringler; parents, Hugh Hardesty and Evelyn Hardesty-Westlake; step-father, Richard Westlake; and brother, Robert Hardesty. Vera is survived by her children, Linda S. (Perry) White-Canfield of Coupeville, Wash., Dena V. (Phil) Hoover of Alta Loma, Calif., Diane G. (Mark) Earl of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Steven C. (Michelle) Ringler of Riverside, Calif.; brothers, Frank H. (Janice) Hardesty of Lakeport, Calif., Richard E. (Linda) of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister-in-law, Helen Hardesty of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday February 18, 2017, at Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens, 9250 South Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Ariz. with viewing starting at 11:00 a.m.
