Urvasi Pravin Thaker, 56, of Colchester, beloved wife for 20 years of Pravin Thaker, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her home. Born in Nairobi, Kenya on February 10, 1960, daughter of Harshad Jashbhai and Sharda H. (Ambalal) Patel of Newington, she was raised in Africa and India and had lived in Newington and Rocky Hill before moving to Colchester 17 years ago. Urvasi was a graduate of RPTP Higher Secondary School and the V.V. Nagar School of Fine Arts both in V.V. Nagar, Gujarat, India. Urvasi was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain for her family and friends. She was always full of life and loved to laugh and smile. Dedicated to her family she went to visit her parents at least once a week and she loved spending as much time as she could with her one-year-old grandson, Grayson. In her spare time, Urvasi enjoyed shopping and traveling with her family. She loved planning each trip and had traveled throughout the world but especially enjoyed going to the Caribbean and on tours throughout Europe. Besides her husband Pravin Thaker and her parents, Harshad and Sharda Patel, she leaves two daughters, Kinjal Patel, of Marina del Rey, CA and Pooja St. Amand and her husband Bryant of Middletown; a brother, Sanjay H. Patel and his wife Gimisha of Newington; a sister, Pallavi J. Patel and her husband Jaymin of Plantsville; her grandson whom she cherished, Grayson St. Amand; three nephews, Shrineal, Kishan, and Shivang Patel; and two nieces, Sanjana and Shefali Patel.
