Travis Wade Linton, 41, of New Haven, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at residence. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He was born Nov. 16, 1975. He was employed by Tony Cecil Construction and was an avid fisherman, University of Kentucky fan, and a skilled tradesman. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bertrand Cecil; his paternal grandparents, William Albert and Mabel Linton. Survivors include his mother, Anna June Cecil Linton, of Culvertown; his father, James B. "Tommy" Linton, of Culvertown; a brother, James "Moogie" Linton, of Bardstown; two sisters, Denise "Neecey" Culver (Craig Newton), of Bloomfield, Amanda (Craig) Boone, of New Hope; two half brothers, Matthew Wayne Linton and Thomas James J.T. Linton, both of Elizabethtown; his maternal grandmother, Ann Elizabeth "Charlie" Hutchins Cecil, of Balltown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown. The Rev. Chris Lubecke will officiate with cremation to follow. Burial will be graveside at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in Bardstown. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven with a prayer service at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating and Thursday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
