Tony Hutts Oct. 1, 1970 - Oct. 14, 2016 EDWARDSBURG - Tony Hutts, 46, formerly of Edwardsburg, passed away unexpectedly in his home in San Antonio, TX. He is survived by wife, Jessica; daughter, Elisabeth Elise Hutts; grandmother, Mary Ann Johnson; mother-in-law, Debbie Grant; three crazy dogs; aunts, uncles and cousins. His parents, Jerry and Carol Hutts, preceded him in death. He graduated from Edwardsburg High School, where he was a wrestler and football player but not a great student. He loved University of Michigan sports, Cubs and Tigers baseball and he passed that love on to Elise. While he lived in a House Divided' with his wife Jess, they tried to keep their rivalry to just a few games a year. Watching sports, especially football, was a passion and he always made the calls long before the referees. He and Jess enjoyed good food and he became incredibly skilled at smoking meats after they moved to Texas. While he couldn't remember something that was said an hour ago, he could perfectly recite obscure quotes from movies he saw as a kid. Watching Christmas Vacation every year was a requirement and he and Elise both could recite the entire movie. He had a sarcastic and smart sense of humor and while he was a liberal, he loved a politically incorrect joke. Tony was extremely yet humbly intelligent and an especially hard worker, most recently self-employed as a consultant in the IT business. He loved tech gadgets of all sorts and usually bought the newest and best on the day it was released. He was obsessed with online reviews of products, restaurants and hotels and used Amazon Prime like it was his job. He never went out to eat without checking out the menu online and usually knowing what he was going to order before he arrived. Tony had a foul mouth but a good heart. He was incredibly proud of Elise and Jess and loved them with everything he had. He never stopped missing his parents and still craved his mom's food. The family dogs were adored and spoiled by him. He gave the best hugs and he was always trying to be a better person. He is going to be greatly missed forever. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 22nd, at 11AM at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR23, enter off Cherry Rd. Visitation will be held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested for Gold Ribbon Rescue where all three of their dogs were adopted: grr-tx.com or PO Box 956 Austin, TX 78767-0956.
