Tom was born in Big Spring, Texas, May 27, 1942. Tom grew up in Forsan, Texas and excelled in sports. He also served in the Air Force. Tom grew to be a giant of a man. He was 6 foot 5 inches, very handsome and very charming. A rugged "John Wayne" look-alike, except more handsome. He worked in the oil business for over 30 years. He knew the oil business from bottom to top. He worked all facets of the business, he even sold the service. He was a great salesman and consultant. Tom is survived by his wife Marva Dean Willis, married 36 years and 6 children,. Traci Lynn and husband Ted Christian of Llano, Texas, Kimberly Rae and husband Eddie Hildreth of Canyon, Texas, Darla Sue and husband Anthony Sotelo of San Antonio, Texas, Jonathan Shane Allen of Midland, Texas, Christopher Cody Willis of Midland, Texas and Sunni Dawn and husband John Dunn of Midland, Texas. Tom had 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Fred and wife Candy Willis of San Saba, Texas, Jacky and wife Marcy Willis of San Angelo, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Helen Willis of Stanton, Texas. His sister Marquita Wright of Utah, his sister Corina White of Longview, Texas and a brother Stanley Willis of Longview, Texas. Tom was a wonderful husband and father. He loved his family and he loved people. But, most of all, he loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and he strived to be more like Him everyday. Tom had a great sense of humor and a servant's heart. My sweet husband went to Heaven: Friday, February 10th, 2017: his memorial will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00am at Cornerstone Fellowship Church on Midland Drive. Our family would like to express our gratitude to: Home Hospice of Midland for their loving care for Tom and our family over the last 7 months and to all our friends and loved ones who have prayed and loved on us throughout this time.
