Thomas Alexander "Tommy" Wright JACKSON, SC - Mr. Thomas Alexander "Tommy" Wright, 75, husband of the late Mae Thomas Wright and the late Barbara Ann Baughman Proctor, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 13th, 2016. Born in and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late George Hampton and Susan "Suzie Belle" Plunkett Wright. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired after over twenty years of service as a Painter at TTX Hamburg. Tommy loved his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Historic Beech Island First Baptist Church, Christian Heritage Church and The Shephard's Church. He enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets, collecting and was very talented in woodworking. In addition to his wives and parents, family members include siblings, Debbie E. "Sally" Morris and her husband, Carl L. Appling, GA, Catherine Rebecca Wright Moore and her husband, David Delmor, Hephzibah, GA, the late Evelyn Louise Wright Rose and her husband, Roland, Margaret F. Allene Wright Chapman and her Earl Bunnion, Miriam Isabelle "Mary" Wright Trappe and her husband, Albert Henry, Dorothy Emily "Dot" Wright Hickman and her husband, Willie Broadus "Rock", Jr., Rhonda Elizabeth Wright Riddick and her husband, Burwell Francis "Frank" and Wilbur Thomas Wright and his wife, Laura Bowles, seven step-children, several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a niece who Tommy loved as if she were a daughter, Linda Scott and her husband, Larry, San Antonio, TX. The family will greet friends on Monday, October 17th, 2016, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2 o'clock in the chapel. Interment with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard, will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. It has been requested by the family that if so desired, memorials be made to the Historic Beech Island First Baptist Church, 1770 Church Rd., Beech Island, SC 29842.
