Thomas W. Fell Jr.
October 23, 1942 - October 16, 2016 Dr. Thomas Fell, Jr., beloved granddad, father and husband, passed away last week. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Tom and LaVada Fell. The oldest of six children, he was raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated Tufts University in 1954 and Seton Hall Medical School in 1968. He married Mary Ann Powers in 1967 and completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of North Carolina. The couple moved to Glendale in 1975 and raised a family of three children, Tom, Kevin and Cathy. He and his wife were active parishioners of St. Bede's Church in La Cañada. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, dedicated to his family. When his children were young, he was involved in many activities including acting in Father's Follies and coaching football and basketball. He was an avid golfer and later a horse racing enthusiast and part-owner with many winning circle pictures. He enjoyed playing poker and serving as a technology consultant to his friends. He loved cruising and recently returned from a trip to the Caribbean with the whole family of thirteen. Tom's humor, bright mind, kind and generous nature, and joyful love of his family will be deeply missed by his wife, children, and five grandchildren, Chelsea, Ryan and Emie Fell, and Carson and Dalton Webb. A celebration of Tom's life will be held October 22, at 10 AM at St. Bede's Church, 215 Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada.
