Thomas Russell Davidson
May 20, 1942 - Oct. 14, 2016 Thomas Russell Davidson passed away on October 14, 2016 at the age of 74. He had a successful career at US Steel, later going into sales, and then retired from Shelby County Schools after driving a school bus for 13 years. Tom was a member of the Elks Lodge in Pelham for 17 years. He was also member of Crosscreek Baptist Church in Pelham. He helped with in the establishment of the annual golf tournament for the Family Connection organization where he was a member for 30 years. Tom played a huge part in the establishment of the youth athletic program in Pelham in the early seventies. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lexel Davidson; brother, Bobby Davidson; daughter, Shelley Leopard. Tom is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carole Davidson; children, Wayne (Tammy) Davidson, William Davidson, Allen (Danielle) Rich, Tammie (Brad) Moore; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; stepmother, Ruth Davidson; stepsister, Ruth Anne (Delmar). There will be a celebration of life service on Monday the 17th at 11am at Southern Heritage with a visitation starting one hour prior. Roll Tide Roll.
