Greene, Theodore J. Theodore J. Greene, 83, of Stamford, CT, died February 13, 2017, in Bethel, CT with his family by his side. Mr. Greene was born February 10, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Queens College, in Queens, NY, graduating at the age of 20. He then served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan as a Staff Sergeant. Upon finishing his tour, he attended the University of VA Law School, in Williamsburg, VA and received his degree in 1959. He practiced law in Manhattan for over 35 years and then started his own firm in Stamford, CT, where he continued serving his clients past his 80th birthday. He met his wife Peggy in 1960, when she was a Spanish teacher in Hoboken, NJ. They were married in 1961, living in Ardsley, NY and Greenwich, CT for 47 years. His interests included gardening, sailing, and traveling; he and Peggy explored Europe, Mexico, and South America, and even took their children for a camel ride in Egypt. His family (including his dog Schatzie) were very important to him. Mr. Greene is survived by his three children, Lore Porter, Doug Greene and Dan Greene, and their spouses, John, Eileen, and Carolyn; and his grandchildren, Justin, Megan, Emily and Alyssa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Greene. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
