Theodore E. Collins
Theodore E. Collins, 83, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at home. He was born May 23, 1933, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Theodore J. and Sophie Collins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Lauffer. Ted was a graduate of West Liberty University. He taught at Highland and Churchill then retired from Woodland Hills. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville. Theodore was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving two years with the First Armored Division. He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Collins; four daughters, Mary Sue Craig, and husband Daniel, of Greensburg, Joan Lynn Overton, and husband Russell, of Meeker, Colo., Kathleen Collins, of Murrysville, and Jennifer Jaffe, and husband Richard, of Murrysville; and seven grandchildren, Jared, Caitlin and Ben Craig, Ethan and Noah Overton, and Emma and Mia Jaffe. At the request of Theodore, there will be no visitation. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, prior to a funeral Mass that will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Private interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ted's memory may be made to Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668. Please write "T.E.
