RAUCH TED Age 86, formerly of Upper St. Clair (Pittsburgh), now of Delray Beach, Florida, fell ill while visiting his son in Issaquah, Washington. Sadly, on September 19, 2016, Ted passed away peacefully while surrounded by all six of his loving children. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Mt. Lebanon, T.C. Ted Rauch, "the Builder" earned his Civil Engineering degree at the University of Pittsburgh where he met Lynn, the love of his life and wife of 65 years. Known for his integrity and desire to put others' needs before his own, Ted was a caring and patient man who established a successful home building business, served his church and community and devoted his life to supporting and guiding his family in their every endeavor. The multitude of friends he was so blessed to make during his retirement years in Delray Beach were always welcome to sit at his table to enjoy great food, a fine drink and share the goodness of life. Ted is survived by his sister Mary Lou Spangler and his six children, Terri (Richard), Betsy, Todd (Ann), Barbara (Al), Kathleen (Pete) and Patty (Chuck). Ted was the guiding light of humor, knowledge and sound reason to his 12 grandchildren, Zack, Casey, Emma, Margaret, Madison, Eric, Pete, Teddy, Jack, James, Grace and Sam, who loved their Poppy and will miss his sage advice. A private family service will take place at St. Anne Cemetery in Castle Shannon where Ted will be laid to rest together with his wife Lynn and their parents.
