Sylvia Ann Rodseth of Fort Bragg, died on Sept. 7, 2016, after a short bout with cancer at Mendocino Coast District Hospital. Born on Jan. 15, 1961, at Pueblo, Colorado, to Daniel E. Martinez and Frances P. Aguirre, she was 55. Sylvia grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended East High School. After raising two children, she opened up her own house cleaning business in Florida, "Squeaky Cleaners." She and her husband worked together in the business. After moving to Fort Bragg, she took over as the main housekeeper for The Company Store in Fort Bragg. Sylvia was a big fan of music and the Denver Broncos football team. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Nick Rodseth; her daughter, Brandy Hilderbrand; her son, Eric Rodseth; her father, Daniel Martinez; her mother, Frances Aguirre; her sister, Pattie Johnston; and her grandchildren, Jacob Lifto and Gavin Lifto. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Martinez and Bryan Martinez. She and her husband would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Mendocino Coast District Hospital for the excellent care she received during her final days. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at Larson Hall, St. Michael's Church, 201 E. Fir St., Fort Bragg, at 3 p.m. Casual, comfortable, colorful attire preferred.
