Susan K. Evans formerly (Viola Graham, Viola Lily Wilhemena Krueger) born on July 25, 1923 in Foster, Nebraska died peacefully from a respiratory illness Saturday March 11, 2017 at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Annapolis, MD. She was 93 years old. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, hospital auxiliary, Meals On Wheels, Crownsville State Mental Hospital, local school health rooms and taught Sunday School. She also worked for a local theater in downtown Annapolis, at American Airlines Modification Center, the US Treasury Department and Bureau of Internal Revenue in Washington D.C., Father Flanagan's Boys' Town in Omaha, Nebraska and modeled for a prominent clothing firm. Susan retired from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD as a supervisor of stenographic pool for the Naval Engineering Experimental Station. She was very fluent in Morse Code and shorthand. She received numerous superior accomplishment awards from the Navy. Susan enjoyed crossword puzzles and bowling. She enjoyed traveling to Puerto Rico, Disneyland, St. Thomas and snorkeling in the Virgin Islands. Susan is the third of eleven brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents Christian Krueger and Elsie Krueger, sisters Wilma Griffith, Dorothy Baker, brothers George Krueger, Ray Krueger, Gene Krueger, Delbert Krueger Melvin Krueger. She is survived by her two sisters Darlene Bassford and Carole Liebert and one brother Bill Krueger, her daughter Connie Brewer, her son David Graham, daughter-in-law Peggy Graham, two granddaughters Kristine Kern and Alexandra Skilling, two grandsons Keith Allenbaugh and Corey Graham, one great-grandson Elias Allenbaugh, and four great-granddaughters Arielle, Madalyn, Kaylie and Brea. She will be missed. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1pm-4pm at the Barranco & Sons. P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 4pm. Interment will be private.
