Susan Bradway Virginia Beach - Susan Tilley Bradway, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, died of complications of Parkinson Disease on April 17, 2017 . Susan's lifelong, abiding passion was for her family and friends. She was known for her compassion, caring, and acts of tenderness and love. Susan was gracious and discerning, but strong when she needed to be. Susan found great joy in her grandchildren, in flowers and flower arranging, in travel with her husband, Don, and in the glory of beautiful sunsets. After a brief career as an elementary school teacher Susan became a homemaker. She was a member and Ruling Elder at Kings Grant Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach, where she led and participated in Christian education programs. She enjoyed many years as an active member of Chapter AN, P.E.O. Sisterhood. Born November 4, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia, Susan was the daughter of Bill and Miriam Godfrey Tilley, both of whom are deceased. Susan attended local schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Cum Laude) from Old Dominion University. Susan is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donald R. Bradway; their sons, Jonathan P. Bradway and his wife, Alison, of Atlanta, GA, and Andrew D. Bradway and his wife, Hayley, of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Anna and Benjamin Bradway, of Atlanta, GA, and Reed Bradway, of Baltimore, MD; and brother, Ronald Tilley, of Newport News, VA. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection and celebration of Susan's life will be held at Kings Grant Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach, on April 23, 2017 at 3 pm.
