Sujean Meyer, 65, of Farmington, died peacefully in a room full of love on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, surrounded by family. Sujean was born Oct. 31, 1950, in Anadarko, Okla., to Calvin and Fern Anderson. Sujean married her high school sweetheart, Wally Meyer, July 27, 1969. Sujean met Wally when they were attending McCormick Elementary School and no one was surprised when their longtime friendship turned into a lifelong love story. Wally and Sujean were happily married for 46 years and were happiest when they were together. They lived in Ariz., Mont., and Texas and eventually returned to the love of family and friends in Farmington. Sujean worked for the City of Aztec DMV for 20 years, but her real joy was in raising her two boys and being a doting grandma. Sujean had a deeply generous heart, loved unconditionally, and laughed easily. Her heart was broken when Wally passed away just over a year ago and we're all comforted to know that their love has extended beyond this life and into the Kingdom of Heaven. She will be greatly missed. Sujean was preceded in death by her mother and father, Fern and Calvin Anderson; and by her brother, Bill Wiley. She is survived by her sister, Donna Jeffers; brother, Jim Anderson; sons, Zachary (Tiffany) Meyer and Adam (Kari) Meyer; grandchildren, Brandi, Courtney, Scott, Bronwyn and Axel; four great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and her church family. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, 5401 Hood Mesa Trail in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, 5401 Hood Mesa Trail, Farmington, NM 87401.
