SUE ANN "GODDARD" LACKEY Sue Ann "Goddard" Lackey, age 76, our beloved wife and mother, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday October 10, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 3, 1940 to William Goddard and Margerie Grigsby in Beechgrove, Ind. Sues' infectious smile and laugh was contagious and will be deeply missed. Her personality was strong, inspirational, loving and easy going. There is a new angel in heaven watching over us! We Love You. Her parents moved to Compton, Calif. in 1945, where she attended elementary, junior high and high school. Sue attended Golden West Community College and received a certificate for a computer programmer. She was employed by Burlington Northern Air Freight in Irvine, Calif. In 1956, while at Compton High School, she met her future husband, M. Ray Lackey. Sue and Ray were joined in marriage on August 24, 1958. They have four children, Debbie, Ken (Wendy) of Menifee, Calif., Joy (Mike) of Madison, Wis., and Ray of Dallas, Texas. Sue and Ray retired in 1991 and moved to Bullhead City, Ariz. She was a member of Elks Ladies Auxiliary of Bullhead City Lodge #2408 and a proud member of the Colorado River Chapter of the DAR. She won first place ribbons at the Kingman Fair for her homemade ceramic dolls. Sue was a very talented seamstress and also very interested in genealogy. Sue was preceded in death by her mother and father; step-father, Edward Thiede; and her favorite cat, Missy. She is survived by her husband, M. Ray; four children; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grand children; and her cats, Squeak and Gracie. We wish to thank the doctors and nurses in ICU at WARMC Services will be at 11:00am.-Noon on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Desert Shores Community Baptist Church, 2625 Landon Dr., Bullhead City, Ariz. 86429. She will buried in Zina, Okla. on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
